Once the largest Lodge in Darlington, County Lodge continues to thrive as a welcoming and inclusive Masonic community. With 20+ dedicated members, we are experiencing renewed growth, attracting both new and returning brethren.

Our membership spans a broad age range from 35 to 90, reflecting the diversity of experience within our lodge. Many of our members play active roles in the local community, working in public service, healthcare, local government, and various professions. Others bring invaluable experience from careers in the Armed Forces, Police, and Fire Services, as well as from self-employment and business ownership. We also have members who, having retired, continue to contribute their time and wisdom.

County Lodge draws its strength from this wide-ranging membership, welcoming individuals from all walks of life. Our strong sense of camaraderie and inclusivity ensures that everyone feels valued and supported within the lodge. Whether you are new to Freemasonry or returning after time away, you will find a warm and friendly home here.

At County Lodge, we take great pride in the quality of our ritual, ensuring that every meeting is a meaningful and enriching experience for our members and visitors alike. When there is no formal ceremony, we engage in talks and lectures on Masonic-related subjects, fostering learning and deeper understanding of our traditions.

Our dedication to charitable giving is at the heart of our lodge. With our own Trust Fund, we have a strong record of supporting both Masonic and local charities. We were proud to achieve a Silver Award for our contributions to the Durham 2021 Festival Appeal, and we continue to make regular donations to worthy causes within our community.
