In celebration HM Majesty’s coronation and 75th birthday year, local Freemans have granted donations totalling £75,000 to the Princes Trust in our region.
Durham Freemasons offer £25,000 for core funding of the Prince’s Trust general projects to be ring fenced for projects in our region. We also offer £50,000 to fund projects as outlined in your application for £25,000 to be distributed in Dragons Den style panels made up of local Freemasons. This funding will be in two payments. 1 of £25,000 for the current year as per the application, and a second £25,000 payment made next year to fund a second year of the programme.
Lisa Thomas Philanthropy Manager of the Prince’s Trust said.
“This grant will help us to reach some of the most marginalised young people, bringing hope and motivation back into their lives. I very much look forward to sharing their stories with you in due course and reporting to you on the impact of this donation”.
The Provincial Grand Master said.
“ We are proud as Durham Freemasons to celebrate His Majesty’s 75th birthday in this his coronation year. The trust has been impacting young lives since 1976 and we hope these grants will continue the charity ethos to enable young persons to have every chance to succeed.
