Following an Initiation Ceremony, on Tuesday 3rd March 2020, the Provincial Grand Master presented the lodge with their platinum award for raising over 130% of their festival target. At the beginning of the evening the dispensation was read out in open lodge to allow the initiation of a Lewis the candidate below the age of 21 years. The lodge master then lead his team to perform an excellent 1st degree ceremony in front of their 37 guests from 20 lodges.

Afterwards at the Festive board, John Paul Thompson presented 2 medals to lodge members for taking part in the Hadrian’s Wall walk. He then went on to present the Master with a Festival Stewards Jewel which he was instructed had to be forwarded to his wife. John pointed out to the 55 masons present that she personally had raised enough funds to entitle her to receive a Festival Jewel. An excellent meal with great atmosphere was experienced by all.
