Members Pathway

Welcome to the Members Pathway pages of the Provincial Website. We plan to build a resource for the members to assist you in your endeavours towards “Attracting Members – Growing your Lodge”.

We will aim to add resources which will help your Membership Team to understand your Lodge, its needs, and suggest ways to engage your Membership in the life of your Lodge.

Members Pathway

The Members Pathway should be seen as a continuous process of Lodge Planning, Lodge Membership Attraction, Lodge Engagement in not only Masonic Learning but also social development and, of Lodge Re-Engagement for those who may not be attending as often as they did.

To do this your Lodge will need to identify a Membership Team. Your Team may consist of your Lodge Membership Officer (a new post to be appointed at your Installation meeting), Your Lodge Mentor, your Lodge Almoner, the Secretary and Director of Ceremonies. This however is not a complete list of those who may need to be involved and the most successful Lodges seem to be those who involve the whole membership in their decision making.

There are many resources available which we plan to add to the site to assist you. One of the key resources available to us is Solomon. Solomon is not a website but is a Virtual Learning Environment and a platform for delivering individual learning as well as for sharing material in a Lodge or Chapter. Solomon can be found at  https://solomon.ugle.org.uk

It contains a wealth of information for the individual and for a Lodge to use in its own meetings, perhaps by sharing pieces of work between several members. In this way, rather than having to rely on demonstrations and or lectures your members can become involved in meetings.

Please remember anyone can enrol on Solomon and once registered you have access to all modules but to get the best out of masonic learning, please do not be tempted to view modules in a higher degree. It will only spoil the experience for yourself.
