Who are we?
Jarrow Grange Lodge No 8551 (consecrated 1974) we are one of four |Lodges that meet in Grange Road and we are the last Lodge to be granted a Warrant and next year we celebrate our Fiftieth Anniversary. We raise moneys for local charities. We are known as the friendly lodge due to our fraternal and hospitality to everyone who visits the Lodge.
What we do
Our Lodge prides itself on being a group with a common goal of meeting like minded people and to enjoy their company with a view to make a difference to each other’s lives and in the local community.
Why join us?
We are a proactive Lodge and have a cross section of Members who are willing to support the Lodge in the many activities we have which we always has a charity aspect to this.
Ample free roadside parking is available directly outside and very close to the Masonic Hall in Jarrow.
Access to the building is directly off the street.
There is a small step over the hearth of the ground floor entrance, which is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair with ease.
Stairs in addition to which a fire escape is located at the back and on the side of the building with exits on the second and third floor.
A Hearing Loop is available for use in the Lodge room and dining room. We have a lift to all floors.
Located on the midfloor level between the second and third floors with the disabled toilet being located with the entrance lobby.
All floors can be accessible using the lift or the stairs. Internal doors are slightly wider than a standard door which makes them wheelchair friendly. We have a lodge room that has to be seen to appreciate for its beauty, there nothing to equal it and our dining room is fantastic.
Lift and stairs available to all part of the building.
