Hardwick Hall was the magnificent setting for the Durham Provincial Ball held on Saturday 28th October 2023.
The evening started with a drink’s reception where brethren and their wives and partners engaged in good humoured chat to set the tone for the rest of the evening. It was a delight to see everyone dressed in their finery and in such good spirits.
The Provincial Grand Master, John Thompson, addressed all present giving them a warm welcome and hoping they would go on to enjoy the evening. A first-class meal was then served by the very efficient staff which concluded with tea and coffee.
The entertainment was provided by 2 ladies under the name of “Unbreakable” and they provided a wide range of music covering many decades. The dance floor was seldom empty, proof of the enjoyment being enjoyed by all.
This was a very special night not to be missed.
