Durham Masonic Hall opens its doors on Miners Gala Day | Durham Freemasons

Following the 2 year Covid break, Team Agricola opened the building to the public and band members on 9 th  July 2022 raising over £6,300 for local charities and the Air Ambulance. The lodge made full use of the building and its facilities throughout the day. It had a special licence to sell alcohol very early in the day.

The TLC team were once again invited along to promote the scheme to the public during the day.

Freshly cooked bacon, sausage, chips, and cheeseburgers were served from the kitchen and proved to be very popular with the public. The main bar was open from 11am and staffed by members of the lodge throughout the day. Visitors to the building were asked to donate loose coins when using the toilets in the building to help boost the funds raised.

The upper level of the building was restricted for use as storage for the brass implements as band members enjoyed the facilities and garden laid on by the building. The Past Provincial Grand Master Eric Heaviside once again joined the team to help process the cash raised during the day.
